Firm Profile
Welcome to our website, we would like to introduce you to a very
different kind of law firm.
Brief HistoryShortly after completing three terms as Dane
County’s elected District
Attorney, Hal Harlowe opened a Madison based private practice in 1989. The firm
was formally incorporated and moved to its present location in 1996, and its
success can be attributed to the firm’s legal expertise and an uncompromising
commitment to serving the interests and needs of its clients. Regardless
of whether the issue is a simple business matter or a life altering legal
crisis,
each of
our clients is provided with personal attention which reflects the values
of the firm.
Values
From the outset, Hal envisioned a “boutique” law firm
that concentrated on providing legal services of the highest quality
in targeted areas. He did
not choose to measure success by how large the firm grew, but rather
by the level of satisfaction that is achieved through meeting professional
objectives in a
compassionate and personal way that reflects the core values of
the firm. Protecting the confidentiality of our clients’ legal
issues is a basic concern, and this is facilitated by the firm’s
small size and location.
Setting
An
important part of the firm’s culture is
the homelike setting of its law offices which are housed in an
historic mansion by Lake Mendota. The warm
environment helps create a sense of family, a place where clients
bring their very personal problems without concerns about running
into people they know.
The office is a reflection of our uniqueness, and is intended
to contribute to an experience of well being for staff and clients
as
well.
